Re: Pot Hole Damaged my E30
If the pothole has damaged your car to that extent, get some pics taken of the pot hole, with a measurement of its deepness, then submit a claim to the council. If youre lucky, they will not have surveyed or checked the road regularly, or if they did and were aware of a pothole and didnt fix it, you...

Re: CO2 high -failed mot on emissions - how do i bring it d
Aah now that helps...i think i remember telling the previous testers about the engine change but i didnt know they adjusted the test to suit...
So if i go back to the same place and tell them, they should adjust to suit the earlier engine and should pass?

Re: Best Alarm to install?
Like i said before, my main concern is the parts on it and any alarm with a warn away or will go off if someone is near it for too long would be ideal. A tracker would then cover those who ever try to take the whole car. Brian i know what youre saying and like ive said before if some really wants it...

It was CO brian - il put up the emission test sheet.Brianmoooore wrote:CO or CO2? Very different gasses. Also, what are the other gas results? You should have a printed sheet from the test station.
Tester says it smells of fuel so probably running rich.

Re: Best Alarm to install?
Im really after two things: An alarm that has a proximity sensor to warn away parts thieves and A tracker if someone tries to take the whole car. Ultimately the sad fact is that if someone wants your car, they will take it. If someone wants parts off it, they will do the same thing. All you can do i...

Re: Insurance - any ideas where to get it cheap??
ok -
so after quite alot of ringing around and speaking to the usual suspects - the best i can do is £220 - better but I still think this is too much for a car that does less than 1000 miles per year and goes some way to beat the £95 premium i was paying a couple of years ago....

if the fuses are ok- it could be the wiring pins in the large pin connector as they get corroded - would suggest pulling it out and wd40 ing it - then see if that helps.

The one option I miss from the past is the heated screens from my Scorpio, XR2's and the Sierras. They were a fantastic option and surprising that it didn't catch on more. +1, they were excellent. Iirc Ford owned the rights to them, which prevented other manufacturers from using them This is correc...
