hi guys just an update.....so as mentioned i tried a different ECU and also tried another fuel pump from my mates 325....stil no luck. the car fires up then dies immediatly after 1 or 2 seconds. i unplugged the connector which connects to the AFM and tried starting it up.....this time the car fires ...

also is the pump ment to have power on ignition?

would that o ring on oil drain tube cause the car to cut off like this? if theres a gap or something?

yea new gaskets everywer. the o ring was a crappy eurocarpart one was an awful fit. right pain to fit tbh.

yeah when firing it does this everytime. starts then dies. even by pressing the throttle no luck....does not react...simply just dies.

hmmm i dont think it would be that as the temp gauage goes off and on, plus the abs lights etc flash when they want. it has a mind of its own.

i will be replacing the whole dials at some point, just trying to work out why the obc isnt powering up!

just bought another e30, has the check control and the 12 button obc. i understand that if the bulbs were gone you would still be able to see the display, just not illuminated! but theres no display at all!! Also the car dials arent working properly, only the fuel gauge and temp gauge works. any ide...

rite i take it mine doesnt hav one eitha, the engine was from a 1990 aswell. rite il try changin the rubber intake boot that goes on the afm.

yes i got the ecu with the engine. . . .which was fitted.

il check with the plugs, but there is one that goes to the AFM which is currently conneted. the plug that im on about is near the battery, comes off the loom near there.

what do you mean by DME?

the rubber intake boot that connects to the air flow seems to have small hair line cracks. but this was like this before, and it still use to run alrite.

hi guys got an issue with my car. use to be a 316i. . . .then dropped in the m42. use to run well, had abit of an idle problem and use to cut out here and there, wasnt that bad. just got the car back on road, on cold start up the car is fine, u can rev her and when the revs come back down it will id...

you can port it if u want. . . but the box has to be made according to the subs peformance. (watts, ohms etc.) the bass will be alot lower.

i got 3.91 slipper on there. . . .any good?

rite so the mounts can be fabricated, water pipe i should get around that, sump should be easy enough to change. . . .just need to sort the loom out?

i have the dogleg box aswel . . .will that all hook up and fit in the e30?

yeah i was told about the water pipe at the back of the head. . . .

just a quick note thats my car Rav put up, its 8.5s up front, 9s on the back. rear did rub . . . .but ive recently got my arches rolled and now have no problems. even with 2 big lads in the back!

on the headunit. . . there should be 2 main power wires. . continuous and ignition. you probably only got power goin to the ignition. . . you need power going to the continuous (yellow wire) aswell. . .in order for the system to work. that might be the problem. . .if not the headunits probably faulty!
