A strange "was it you"

Ello All. A little story to tell. Coming back from dropping the girlfriend off in Crowthorne, Berks, at 12.30am the other night, I was going over the speed limit pretty much all the way home (2 miles away). A smart looking "F plate" 2dr black E30 (similar to mine but nicer) was following me, and lit...

Problem solved! I knew the exhaust was a bit noisy cos of the baffles (car was standing for months) and this turns out to have restricted power from the engine!
Many thanks for all your help

Thanks for all ur advice. Although tis quite annoying that so many people rip the m40 engine. Im 18 yrs old, tis my first car and its perfectly adequate! I agree with brianmooooooore on the "temporarily fault free" thing. The car was standing from may til November, with little use. Since then ive do...

Hey. Ive got a Black 2dr 318i. Im 18, and have one years no claims. My policy was £1000 fully comp with RAC. Personally I found all of the specialist performance and young drivers to be very expensive, and Confused.com is a definite no no. Hope this helps

Water getting in??

Hey guys and girls.
Discovered this morning the passenger seat was pretty damp, with some "Rain drop" splodges on it. Cars a 1991 2dr, with manual sunroof. Cant see how water cud be getting in. Also the sunroof "jumps up" when you close one of the doors! Any ideas?
Many Thanks for help in advance

Aplogies for jumping your post Spadge, but I have a similar problem on mine, except sometimes whilst stationary and you turn the wheel ,there is a loud "honking" noise from the engine bay. Possibly rubbing noise?

Fitting Twin tone horns

Hi All
As you may well know, 318i's only have a single tone horn, which I find quite embaressing!
Just wondering if I buy the second deeper tone horn, how do I wire it/mount it to the car?
Apparently it goes above the front fog lamps?

Any help much appreciated
Cheers

Fitting 6x9's

Help! I have gone and bought some Sony Brookland series 6x9's, and they are too deep and slightly too wide to fit on the parcel shelf.
Does anyone know of a company that does a small shelf for them to sit on, or shall I make my own??
Any help much appreciated

6 x 9 Recommendations

Just wondering what 6 x 9's people would recommend, to go with a pretty standard £100 Kenwood head unit. I don't really wanna spend more than £50 on them.

Any help much appreciated

Advice needed on spraying grill

I'm going to spray my front grill (around headlamps etc) black, but I need some help!
I have a primer that is suitable for plastic, do I need to rub the grill down with sandpaper, or can I just decontaminate and spray on?
Any help much appreciated
