Central Locking
Hello,
Im going to look at another e30 tomorrow and the central locking does not work is there anything that i can look for to diagnose the problem to see how serious it is..

Crap it only happens when im slowing down coming of the motorway etc.
Are there any better ones than what the M42 has or is it just another replacement of the same.

Gear Change
When im on the motorway doing about 70 in 5th and i change down to 4th the gears always grind, and this happens in other gears as well somtimes. Is the gearbox on the way out of is there somthing else i can do :D Also how do you stop the breaks from squeeking when just driving along normally. Cheers...

I have still not yet had time to check either.
I have also noticed now at highish speeds holding the streering wheel straight the wheels feel as if they are steering on their own.

I had this and it was the fiel pump. It was ok until it started not to start again then i replaced it.

No have no idea where it is either, i was thinking that could it be a slightly bent drive shaft or the big one down the middle being slightly bent ?

They are Falcon Tyres not sure on the rating i will have to have a look but i am sure they are good enough for 130 mph

It is a standard spec, it has the 14" BBS wheels it sits quite low has yellow shocks and rusty red springs not sre if they are stanard etc.

My steering is pulling quite badly to the left the tracking has been checked twice by tow different people after the new tyres, and they are saying that it is fine. At top speed it wobbles a lot as well even though it has brand new balanced tyres fitted a couple of months back is this a sign of the ...

Is the M40 and M42 exhaust as i want to replace my front pipe to get rid of the CAT, but i am having a right pain trying to find one that wont sting my wallet in the process am i going to have to make one from scratch ?

Sort of the top is different as there is nowhere for the existing securing bracket to secure it. When i removed the rad from the e36 it had this rubber bit that comes off i used this to secure it.

This is where i found some water i have just changed my rad for a new one of an e36 as its all i could find and now it stays below half way.
The only problem i have now is that when i turn the heater blower on full the neadle flys up a few mm so i suspect a electrical problem.

I have the same problem feel it sucks to be doing such high revs in 5th gear while just crusieing.

Yeah you would need to clean all the underneath then you would be able to see where the run is coming from.

Help, i just changed my rad with on or an later e35 model and i have got the rad caps mixed up one sais 140 on it and one sais 200 this one is yellow inside does anyone know which one i should have on the 318IS.

fuel down pipe
Right im going to look at a E30 Toruer 325i
They guy sais the fuel down pipe is rotten can any one shed any light on what this is as he said he can get one for £100 quid.
