Re: brake servo and throttle bodies

Even without a turbo, the area before the bodies will see mostly atmo pressure. Vacum can only exist between the intake valves and the thorttle bodies. And only when the bodies are partially closed. Same goes for a single throttle body, the only differance is that on the single setup the plunum is a...

Try installing the sender from the old diff into the new diff. If the speedo doesn't work, reinstall the new sender and soldier a new connector to the harness. I have a similar problem, only my new diff didn't come with a sender and I had to order one from the dealer. Let us know how it turned out. ...

There are no casting marks on an m20 head.
I had the same thought when I replaced my head gasket, but the head design and execution looked too good to mess with.

Regardless of the leak's source, there should be some drain holes in the jack compartment's floor. They are probably clogged ant it 's a good idea to clean them out.

Alignment angles

Hi,
What alignment angles (front camber caster and toe, rear camber and toe) should I set my suspension to? The car isn't a track machine but a daily driver that does extracurricular activities occasionally. I have adjustable camber plates on the front and IE eccentric bolts for rear camber and toe.

Check your injectors' wiring:
Could it be that all of your injectors are wired to one bank?
Or maybe bank 1 and bank2 are shorted to each other?

Diff/speedo problem

Hi, I swapped my 3.91 small case diff's center section from an open one to a limited slip unit. Since then the speedo stopped working. I suspect that there is a difference in the toothed wheels that are attached to the center sections which drive the speedo sensor. Anyone knows how I can get my spee...

If it is a 16V, it could be a 1.9 liter M44 off an E36 318iS/318t/Z3.
If it is 8V, it could be a 2.0 liter M10 off an E21/E12.
It could be a 2.0 liter 6 cylinder.
What makes him say it is a 2 liter?

You can use a stack of washers, at least temporeraly so you can start working on the manifold.
I made the spacers myself by cutting 2 pieces from a rectengelar section aluminum bar of the appropriate thickness and drilling a hole in each of them.

Re: ITBs and turbos?

I think that alfa-N isn't suitable for turbo application; you can be at any throttle opnening both under boost and under vacum and the fuel/spark requirments for each condition are totally different of course.

BTW - both the Nisaan Skyline GTR and Sunny GTI-R use ITB in a boosted engine (with MAF).

You should get a turbo from a car that has similar power to the amount of power you are aiming for, preferebly with a similay engine displacment. I would try to get a Subaru or Volvo turbo. There are options other than stand alone managment (remaped chip or raising rate fuel pressure regulator for e...

You don't have to use BMW injectors, you can use many other Bosch injectors that are the same shape but has different flow rates. If you want to make sure it is the top mounts without buying new ones you can remove the shock from the car and go for a short drive on a bumpy road. If there is no knocking, it was caused by the top mounts (or the shocks themselves). If the top mounts need replacing I think the the ones from a caba...
