Supercharging a 325i

Hi. Can anyone help?

Are there any supercharger kits availiable in the UK for an E30 325i? Also, can anyone suggest a company who would be able to do the installation for me. Prefferably in the South Wales area. I would be grateful for any advice offered.

Thanks in advance.

Wheel Dimensions, Anyone?

I have got some Alloys with tyres on e-bay which I took off my 316. A bidder has asked if they will fit on a Mazda Eunos! They has asked me to supply the wheel stud dimensions. As I am away working at the moment, this is a little difficult. Does anyone know these dimensions so that I can help this g...

Thought I might share this with you. I have been told to put the bushes in the freezer and the lollipops in the oven (or heat with a blowtorch) the temperature difference should make refitting the new bushes a bit easier! (Delia told me :D )

Please Help with Spring ID's?

I have some secondhand springs, the rear ones are lowering springs but Im not sure about the front ones. The only writing on them is; GMAX 30 BM 13 Rear and for the front TERRA 45 034 VR I also have two rear shocks, which came with the rear springs, with the following written on them; Bilstein BNO-1...

Cheers Robin

Thanks for the link, its good to see the process with pictures and reassuring that the bushes can be done without special tools!
Will probably do them this weekend, although I think I will remove the lollipops from the car.
Good luck with yours!

Front Control Arm Bushes

The time has come to replace the control arm bushes on my 316i, I have the new bushes and a puller, so I am ready to go ahead. The Haynes manual mentions a special BMW lubricant (part no. 81 22 9 407 284) which bonds the bush to the arm. My question is this. Are there any products availiable from, f...

Thanks Ant So nothing too much to worry about then? Cant get the motor to run clean though, despite fitting new airfilter, plugs, dizzycap and rotor . Next job is to do cambelt and thermostat, this one looks like it has stuck cos the temp guage only reaches about the quater mark and the car is a git...

Identify loose engine connections anyone?

Hopefully there are some pics to back up my verbal ramblings! On my 316i there are two loose connections one is a vacume pipe which has a bolt stuffed into the end. This was like this since I bought the car. I cant see anywhere where it should be connected! Anyone got any ideas? http://img524.images...

HELP!..FUEL TANK NEEDED.

Hi Does any know of any breakers (or Zoners) in the Oxford area where I can get hold of a R/H fuel tank for my E30 316i. Also, am I right in thinking that the fuel system is pressurised? ie, if fuel is getting out then air must be getting in. This may go someway to explaining why the engine cuts out...

If it missfires for about 10 seconds and you have changed the plugs and checked everything under the bonnet then it looks like you are going to have to look a little deeper. Not entirely sure how the fuel system works on injection cars, but, it could be a fuel supply problem. I am no expert but sugg...

Thanks for the reply. Its a go for the 320 suspension for now! I will use my existing brakes. I have a few more questions that I hope you can answer. Will my front wheel bearings come off with the hub or do they stay on the stub axles? I am assuming the ones on the 320 legs are worn out. When you sa...

Advice on 316i Suspension Mods?

Need more advice! :? Have not had the 316i long. At the moment the car is standard, complete with worn out suspension and noisey top end but the wheels and bodywork are good. The plan is to eventually put more power in it (2.5, 2.7, 24valve 3.0)! So starting with the suspension and brakes; What are ...

I've had this problem on other cars and if it is'nt the relay then it usually is something to do with the wiper motor. I think there is a switch in there somewhere that tells it when to park. Fraid I am no expert but it may be worth a look!
Hope this helps 8)

E30 316i Cambelt Fitting

Hi I am new here, so apologies if this is messed up! I want to replace the cambelt on my M40 engine but I am not sure about the method of tensioning the belt. Someone in a local parts shop advises not to loosen the tensioner and fit the belt on anyway (he reckons he watched someone do this). Is this...
