HI Sensi
Shell DONAX TA is what I used to fit in the box's in the dealer ship when I worked there, but any good ATF will work, you could find the box will hold/kick down more in cold weather to heat up the box and engine quicker, is it still like this after a good run/hot??

HI pull the Rocker cover off and inspect the camshaft for wear, also the rocker fingers under the cam, you will prob' find the thing worn out 8O

HI I have the factory manual on CD if that is any good, M20 engine not covered very well, it's USA spec' but OK.

HI the timing hole is under the starter, pos' without the plug in it, the hole in the block is bigger than the hole in the flywheel(or is it auto????), if it is a auto' box you could hit one of the balancing holes in the drive plate, remove on' 1 plug & turn the engine over slowly with a thin screw ...

HI just a note to say the ECU will require re- coding for manual tran,
The ECU can be coded up to 10 times, then NEW ECU :)
