Re: Boot lock woes
My wife has managed to pull the key out of the boot lock with the slot in the vertical position (locking the boot) now I cannot unlock it, any solutions? Yeah, dump the B**ch. Kick her to the kerb, as the Americans say. This sort of situation is intolerable. Why are you letting her near your car in...

Boot lock woes
My wife has managed to pull the key out of the boot lock with the slot in the vertical position (locking the boot) now I cannot unlock it, any solutions? I have tried to remove the battery but no joy, also the car does not have a ski slot so I have no way of getting into the boot. Don't want to get ...

Windscreen wiper stalk, intensive wash??
Brief background, my wipers were stuttering so I performed the wiper motor maintenance commonly undertaken. All was fine until until a week or so later when the wipers stopped working on all speeds including single sweep function, after stripping the motor again I managed to get the wipers operation...

Are 51mm and 45mm struts interchangeable
As per topic, are 51mm front struts interchangeable with 45mm struts. My car is a 320 but the previous owner has added all the sport kit including wheels, thus if I put 51mm struts on will it foul anything??

Cheers, is a 2 door classed as a saloon?
The Koni website says that for a sedan it has the 51mm housing, it doesn't say anything about housing diameter for the vert or touring.

New suspension for 320i, 45mm or 51mm struts ??
Just been looking at getting some new suspension, now on various web sites there are two strut sizes, 45 and 51mm, how do I know which one to buy. Car is an '88 320i facelift.
I'm currently away from home so cannot simply go and measure is there any other way to findout.

To fit a new drivers side wing do you have to take the bumper (tech 2) off or can it be done without removing the bumper.

Cheers guys, will look into it in more depth, nearly 25 so hopefully insurance will be ok. Some valid points regarding overtaking and the local drive thru, however I like the idea about curb crawling winkeye . Didn't realise it was hard to export a car, in my ignorance I thought it was just a case o...

Re: Does LHD effect insurance
I work offshore so I have plenty of time off, hence the hassle of getting it back isn't really an issue,
for those who have imported a car, can you drive it into the country and then register it or do you have to register it before it arrives??

Does LHD effect insurance
As title, does driving a left hooker increase your insurance?? Found a nice e30 on ebay.de, not an M3 but nice none the less. Also are the spares the same for left and right hookers and finally are there any issues that effect lefties that are not apparent in RHD.

Re: where can i get a spray can in dolphin grey?
What code do you have, mine is 184/7, if yours is the sane, don't go to halfords, they don't have the correct code and the colours don't match, I know to my cost!! Also if it is for a large area you better just get it done properly as the paint will have faided with age thus a pure match is hard to ...

Different 325i engine specs??
Just a quick question, does a 325i sport engine put out more that a 325i se engine. Wanting to do a conversion from 320 and cannot find any decent "sport" engines but have seen a few "se's". Wondered if they were the same engine. I know about the gearing and diff differences.

Which conversion?
There are lots of mental conversions goin on out there but which gives the most power and speed and is relatively easy to do. Obviously the S50 gives about 300bhp but seems a lot of work to do, what about 2.7 converesion or 2.5 turbos, what power do they put out.
