This is a bit of an odd one really. I've got a couple of opinions on it. First off M badges by themselves are a little pointless IMHO, they don't really mean anything, but if you want them and it floats your boat, and your car has some BMW Motorsport products on it then it is perfectly justified. Th...

TBH the wheels make the car! I bought it from Andy the mod from BMW land (silverbmw328 I think) and also from the 5 series forum. He lives in Milton Keynes yes. To be honest it's pretty good, not the original paint, looks to me like it's been sprayed on a few pannels, but still looked good. Bit of r...

Looks like a good buy for 1800! Well done, as for the motor looks stock, but cleaned up. With cars being well over 10 years old and no history though, who knows what could have been done to it. Certainly wouldn't be much over the 200hp mark though. Don't forget that these cars are pretty light by co...

Cool. A friend of mine is thinking of buying a M50 325 sport. The seats are worn etc but it seems a sound car. I warned him of the weight being a little too much for the 2.5 lump, but he will be stripping it anyway if he gets it. Just guaging realistically what weight can be saved. It's fully spec'd...

Surely there is potential to get it close to 1200ish?

Anyone have any idea what sort of weight a fully stripped E34 525 sport would be?

List shows them being around 1500kg's!

Superchip is stand alone isn't it? Or am I think ing of uni chip? That pressurised air stuff makes no differance what soever you have to be going 150mph+ before you gain 0.1hp and that would be on a really well designed induction system. I'll find the article I read............. Lol dude, I'm not t...

Thanks for the coments chaps :) The reason for stripping was three fold really. To make it lighter and faster, to see what the shell was like to assess whether it was worth investing more cash in, and to fix any issues b4 they could and would kill the car! Under all of the carpet the only prob was a...

320i to 325i

Hi Chaps, Just out of interest i've heard from E-tech motorsport that a 320i sport can have a 325i lump dropped in needing nothing else and you will still gain the extra hp / torque. That is to say, the original 320 chip will remain, the MAF / Air flow meter, no oil cooler etc etc. Will this really ...

Lol should have read the post 'what size wheels' not tyres lmao.

I guess any really as long as they aren't too massive or heavy. Some ppl go over the top but a 15" with 175 45 15 is good on the back and say 205 45 15 on the front with the pressures adjusted.

generally you go for a smaller width on the back, so if your running 225's front and back, on 7j's run 225's on front for steering and something like 195's on the back, also have pressure on the backs say 45 and fronts at 30. Don't go for a massive profile, so a no to 65's drop to a medium profile. ...

Well, it's not MOT time yet, not for another 10 months, but I am interested to know what I will need to ensure I have when it comes to MOT time. Certainly a nice car. The leather as mentioned looks very worn, in which case could only really point to it being a town car, hence the low mileage as well. Lots of small trips, lots of in and out of the seat. Other things may be equally as worn from many short journeys, but for 6k whats a 150 on ge...
