Re:
Well I've done it. Sold the car. :( Needed it off the drive as I'm moving house and a nice chap that lives around the corner and kept asking after the car has bought it to restore it. A very hard car to value, but I'm happy enough with what I got for it. I wouldn't be surprised if you have a new mem...

Re:
Hmmm
Yeah that's pretty much what I was thinking - not much.
My mate has a bodyshop so I can get that sorted easily and cheaply enough. I agree it will want the brakes refreshing as well as a service though.
Probably worth more if I strip bits off and crush it. Seems a shame though doesn't it.

Value my car please? 318iS - Standard - 47,000 miles
Hello I've been on here for ages since I got the car, but haven't used the forum much in the past few years as I haven't been using the car. I'm looking on eBay etc, but its really hard to value my car. I don't really want to sell it, but I don't use it and we are moving house and won't have room fo...

Re: Front panel price please
Ouch.
I do understand why its so much though as there cant be much demand for it.
I think I'll have to just try and find a non rusty/dented second hand one then.

There is no such thing as traffic cops anymore Not really a true statement is it, plenty of traffic cops still in action. Yeah I guess that was a bit harsh. Did anyone see that program last night where they were using the license plate recognition gear in the motorway patrol cars (dont normally wat...

The green one you linked to looks nice, but you could pick the same car up in a private sale for half that much easily. I'm confident a grand will get you a half decent 325i touring. Its amazing how shabby it looks on the old rims in comparison. Could be a right sleeper if you could afford to fuel it. I'd be tempted to leave it looking shabby and sell the wheels to pay for towards the fuel.

You need to prove you own the car to get the plates made up. Unless you buy off Ebay. I did that last time as I hadn't had the paperwork back so Ebay was the only option.

As I need the OSF and you need the NSF I'll happily team up and buy together as most folk want to sell them in pairs.

Re: 318is m42 bhp?
My Mi16 would rev higher than 7100 (well at least indicated higher anyway). It was using the standard manifold that had a bit chopped out to reangle it. I think it went to about 7300rpm. The 1.6 box is awsome and it felt so much quicker than the Mi16 box with its longer gearing. Once I put the Mi16 ...

Re: 318is m42 bhp?
Jon I assume your Mi16 is a 1.9? Mine was from an F plate so obviously non cat. They are supposed to be 160bhp, but if you have a modified exhaust manifold that could drop the power down to 155. My engine was a low miler and I had it fully rebuilt before it went in the car so it was very healthy. Th...

As has been said the RR figures are no good if you dont have a before and after. It sounds to me like the figures some people are quoting from the same RR are about 10% higher. Jon what gearbox have you got on your Mi16? I started out using the original 1.6 box and it was right laugh. It would pull ...

I had that car down as being worth £15k myself.
Unless it owes him more than £15k I dont see why you wouldn't accept it. Credit crunch and all that....
Mind you its potentially a good car to have up for sale and probably helps justify the price of some of the other cars they have.

Re: Usual E36 Cr*p but with an M3 E30 price tag!!!!!!!!!
Oh dear. What happened to the dashboard?
That is so nasty. I doubt they will get any more than £3k for it and that's assuming they find someone who like's it. I reckon thats why they used a small engine as anyone old enough to insure a 328i would be way older than the teenagers this car is aimed at.

I really like the look of this one: http://www.wlnautomotive.co.uk/popup.cf ... p_i=461174
I'm not really a cabrio kind of guy, but I reckon that looks really smart and looks a lot more upmarket not having the boot spoiler.

Sorry to hear this.
I doubt you will see the parts come up for sale. As said above they will have been stolen to order.
Everyone needs to keep a look out for bright red 325i Sports then.
My mate lives in Derby - I'll tell him to keep an eye out.

I would hope it would be similar, but not quite as bouncy (bouncy does not sound cool!).
