when i did my own E30/rack swap/replaced useing genuine new bmw rubber mounts and also there is a metal cup that the bush sits in as well on some models to stop the rubber bulgeing i used them as well.that helped a lot. as you car was an auto the plug you have might be for the inhibitor switch if this is said plug you will need to sort it out if not it will not turn over when you try starting it. the plug in question is like 2 dots on the plug end ok thanks if said it is how do i get around that problem? a photo o...

i think this might be down to the main engine earth cable being at fault,there should be a heavey brown cable bolted from the shell to the sump on the n/s.i do belive its a common fault when this cable fails.

there a form you can send to dvla with a £5fee and thay will send you back copys of all the v5's with ower details name address etc and you work out how long and were the car has been in its life cant rember the form number at presant,ive done it on nearly all my cars ive owned,it can be intreasting...

Just to confirm the above. Did this on the M3 compact on Friday and it took about 1.5 hours, No issues at all. The rack was a touch narrower so tracking did have to be adjusted, think that was down to having to remove the lock tabs. The e46 rack has no slots for the lock tabs, not sure how I feel a...

hi,apart from buying new ones what do all the concoarse bods do about the black boarder on the glass were it rubs off on the rubber seal and leaves the glass clear do you paint it if so what type etc of paijnt do you use,or just a case of buying new glass.

Can you use the m52 alt and PAS pump still or need to get the s50 ones? Where did you get the housing from? as well as a matched oil pump&bracket anything of an early m50/52 that is 6cyl or an m3 as thay are all the same but you will pay extra 'M tax' on the m3 one even tho is the same as a 2.0/2.5...

alternator is still the same,i brought a couple of houseings from a chap who was breaking a m3 and he had a spare lump that was stripped so i got oil lines and cooler as well.

yes will bolt straight onto the block,you will also need to use the steering pump|&braket from a 6cyl that uses the same metal fillter lid as the one from the plastic lid houseing is differant take you know about the vanos oil feed banjos are 14mm but on the m3 only has m12 tapings iam just about to...

a common fault on the e36 for this to happen,serch on the web and you will find out how to repair without paying for a replacement unit,or look on e bay theres a bloke who can repair it for you.
