Re: E60 M5
There's no hiding the fact that they look council :( The wagons are undoubtedly cooler but quite a lot more coin. Is it madness not having the BMW warranty? I'll certainly look for those major works you mention in the service history. I did read that they had eyewatering fuel consumption, not reall...

Re: E60 M5
As with most BMWs, proper people have wagons. The saloon as well as being ugly has a strong stench of council. Obviously the wagons are rare and command more money but that will work in your favour when you get tired of the 13mpg and dashboard disco !

Prefacelift saloon convertible / saloon is identical apart from bumper mounting bracket holes. 100% usable with no dramas.

Yeah, I probably should have guessed that it is a common dilemma. I thought a 318is would hold its value better (although this isn't a massive consideration for me), however looking like at it I think a 325 sport seems to be a better bet on that regard. Going through the old threads, it doesn't see...

Pricey but the picture post card location must be paid for. My burger and handful(small) of chips was rather ordinary and the Gouda rather rank . Have since been back with the mrs and it was excellent. I even fed the ducks !

Unless you are a roided and tatted meat head, this is NOT a good look !!! A nice stock E38 is a lovely thing, this is not stock or lovely, avoid ! 750s are best avoided, lots of specific bits and horrible SLS suspension dramas that WILL rear their ugly heads. 740 is the better option, though a nice ...

I am guessing it is some sort of homemade engine lift hook sandwiched between the head and the top timing cover and retained by a 13 mm bolt. NO M20 engine BMW ever left the factory with one of them attached to it !

Re: A couple of seat question's.
Drivers and passenger sport seats can be swapped over BUT all your control levers will now be on the inside and against the tunnel making them very difficult to operate. OK for an emergency but not an ideal long term solution. The reason the stitching splits at the top of a convertible rear seat is ...
