ok checked the fuse box guys gave the relays a bang or 2 and notice my speedo has start working which i didnt beflore but i thought it was because of the cable not connected !! but heres the catch now the speedo now moves but bounces up and down doesnt give an accurate reading !! and my fuel gauge s...

hmm its not really worth doing by the sounds of things ... i was thinkin realiabilty wise using the 520i engine
maybe i should drop an sr20det 2.0 turbo 4cyl from japland in to it for the laugh make the engine swap worth while

i know i have a e30 325i

and a full running bmw 520i with the 24v engine so have i got everything i need to do the swap or is there more bits required ??

firstly the clocks that i bought the car with were for a 316! and my car being a 325i the tacho was reading wrong! in saying that the fuel gauge did work and so did the temp gauge which are not working now with the new clocks :( would it make a difference if my clocks were from a german left hand dr...

so my understanding is if i take the engine out of the 520i the engine has a seperate loom that stays with the engine and will fit straight into my e30

so what happens with my dails do the waork off a seperate loom ??

mechanic just said the subframe is fooked bascically and is ringing around looking for one im not exactly sure there was noises coming out of it whel driving under aggressive acceleration.. he said the diff is fine and the axel theres only rubber bushings or something holding it in place .. reckons ...
