I wish my Touring hadn't rotted out

One day I'll have an E30 again, but it might be after a lotto win looking at the prices nowadays!

I thought I was a hero for getting 18mpg - until I had the Blue Temp sensor changed and it went back to 24mpg overnight. I was just about to change the injectors when I realised it was time to frag it due to rust.

On the bright side, you'll know that the kit has been off and the body cleaned up properly at least once since the thing was new! You can't say that about most of them....

DOH, forgot to recheck the fuse. New fan, new fuse, reset codes again - all sorted. Ice cold aircon and the engine isn't in danger of overheating whenever we hit traffic.

We have a winner!
The fan had indeed failed. It spins freely but won't run. This has thrown a code I couldn't see with my software which is enough to stop the ecu from engaging the compressor. Second hand fan ordered because they are stupidly expensive new. Let's hope it works!

n/a is dead, killed by the tree huggers. You have to used massively stressed turbo 3 or 4 pots now....

B12 kit is great on OEM 55 profile tyres. If you're going with bigger wheels/lower profile tyres then you're probably going to thing it's all a bit stiff.

Thanks fellas. I'll take it to Kwik Fit (sounds dirty! but I read that they have the latest machines) and see if they can sort it. If not, I'll take it to the local aircon specialists and adopt the position.
