My garage replaced the cam shaft sensor when the car wouldn't start but then found that the fuel pump has a flat spot, stopping the car from starting again - hitting the underside of the fuel tank near the pump gets i...

Thanks Brian. They're yellow. Just straight shocks, no flanges or fancy bits on them
Been trying to get hold of the garage that fitted them where I used to live..may have gone bust.

Viscous noise
Hi All,
Heating and cooling working ok and temp not jumping in static traffic. But when engne is hot and I pull away from junctions I get an increasing viscous noise through the revs.
Any ideas please?
Mantra is always "if it isn't broke don't fix it - but I thnk something is gonna break!

The plastics clamp tightly around he aluminium mount and with the motor back i and attached I reckon silicone would do it - if not, a bit of no nails!DanThe wrote:Silicone will hold them together until you want to turn them on the base, you need something much stronger like epoxy or plastic weld them

Re: removing mirrors from mount - help
That looks really handy! Can you explain how you did it? Remove mirrors completely from car. Underside of mirrors there is an access hole, flat head screwdriver into cogged plastic ring and push up to release the mirror glass. That gives you access to the electric motor, remove four screws to relea...

I bought a spare set of 4 x 14" BBS, in pretty sorry state for £60, tidied them up with a Dremel and had them powder coated in black = winter wheels
And my 15" silver for spring summer and autumn, sorted! Best of both worlds

I bought some Vredestein SnowTrac 3 and in the wet they are superb, can't wait for the snow now!
I bought a spare set of 14" wheels for the car to put them on and got 185/65/14 at £58 a corner from 'camskill' dot 'co' dot 'uk'
Everyone says 14's better for the snow

1990 318is - Which Differential?
Hello all,
Sounds like my diff is on its way out so went to have a look at the tab on the diff and its totally rusted away so was wondering what LSdiff I would need to put in to replace the current.
Any ideas please? Thanks in anticipation. Cheers, Shaun
