Re: How to time an m42?

Thanks for the help ant. I think im gona get a mate to help me with this. Can someone just answer me this simple question: Is it possible to correctly time the engine by just removing the rocker cover and upper and lover timing case covers?

Or do i have to pull the cylinder head off? thanks

Re: Rebuilt head, car wont start. M42

had one of the spark plugs out just to make sure it was sparking, and whilst turning over thr was like a wisp/bang and a bellow of whitish/bluish smoke came up the spark plug hole and out of the throttle body?

What the hell is going on?

Re: Rebuilt head, car wont start. M42

there is white smoke coming from the throttle body, pulled the rubber hose that connects throttle body and air flow meter, and pulled throttle cable to open throttle body and some smoke is coming out. Anyone know what could be causing this?
