The 316 non injection was a continuation of the carburetted M10 engine by BMW. It was one of the original E30 models released in 1982, and was replaced by the 316i in 1987.

History

Technical

This was the same legendary engine block as the BMW 2002 turbo, and The E30 M3. The engine had all the refinements of a modern engine at the time such as unleaded seats and electric ignition
