These models have a standard E30 body but fitted with an S14 E30 M3 engine and sport suspension.

Only 2540 two door and 1205 four door models were made between 11/'87 and 07/'90. The 320is has a 2.0 S14 engine, a stroked version ( 93,4 x 72,6 ) of the E30 M3's 2.3 s14, producing 192 bhp or 143 kW. It also shares the dogleg Gertag gearbox and taller ratio 25% limited slip diff from the M3. Only sold in Italy and Portugal where cars with engines over 2000cc were heavily taxed.
