e30 shock sizes

I need to get some new suspension for my f reg 1989 318i E30 but have been asked if it has 45 or 51 mm shocks. does anyone know what size shocks this model takes

if its a 318i should be just 45mm shocks 51mm shocks are 325i and tourers inless your suspension has been changed or is mtech stuff
