in car dvd

heard that there is a modification that lets reduce the size of the indicator stalk to allow built in dvd players to be fitted , has any one seen or done this modification... or sounds craxy but here me out ...........the panel that holds the stereo , clock ,and demister, rear wash wipe and hazard ,can this panel be rotated to still house the dvd player offset thus the clock would be to the right my stereo would then top left and buttons all below ... get me,?? any help would be great even just for the indicator stalk thanks ...andy as have a great set up....................................just realised may be in wrong section if so i stand corrected sorry please alter
