Hi Guys.

I have fitted PAS to my Manual steering car and i've just remembered when i did this i used the original linkage from the end of the steering column to the rack.
Unfortunately the rubber in the joint has broken.

I have just obtained a linkage from a PAS 320i and it is about half the length of mine, my question is were the linkages on the PAS model different (shorter) than on a manual car.

Many Thanks

I think manual steering racks sit a bit more forward than pas steering rack.
There are two sets of locating holes for the steering racks.
Put the pas steering rack in the holes that are further back on the sub frame.

Oh Ok, i will try and take a look. The difference in the lengths for the linkage looks like quite a lot, 8 plus inches.
