ive been doing some reading and for a big power build ive got to the poing of needing to buy a gearbox and diff.

ive read of people useing the e36 m3 gearbox? has anyone done this? what are the complications of this and what is needed to make it fit?

also the medium case from the e36 isnt going to be sufficent so ive looked into useing a z3m diff and fabricateing an extra "ear" mount to stop it twisting but im still abit worried and would like to know if anyone has used a large case ie e34 535i diff or e36 diff??

thanks rob

The 5sp is stronger.

I've seen pictures around here of a modified rear beam to accept the E34 M5 diff, or it may be a modified E34 beam to fit the E30. best of luck with the search box

Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?
