I am toying with the idea of having a full respray in a different colour, for my cabby. I want to keep the choices in the original BMW E30 range so I don't want no silly flips, two tones, flakes etc.
So what is the best colour for a E30?
At the moment I am quite tempted by Alpine white (with fully colourcoded alpine white tech2 kit)
btw current colour is Cirrus Blue

Unless you are going for a total strip down you'll never get away with a colour change.....door shuts, sunroof hole, in the boot, under the carpet, under the bonnet and behind window rubbers.
Dont want to p**s on your bonfire but that will cost the earth.

Dolphin Grey is my favourite E30 colour - IIRC it was only available to special order on Convertibles.

I have one, well it's part tech 2B7 wrote:Cirrus is a nice colour if in good condition. Not many tech 2 cirrus cars about either???

My favorite colours are brilliant red or calypso red. I also love the darker silvers or blacks. Dolphin Grey as up there. Diamond black is also a personal favourite.
Clean alpine white ones are nice....
I've always toyed with the ideas of different coloured tech2 kits to the car. Finding a good colour combo is hard though.

Cars with colour changes are never right to me. The original colour showing up in in odd places all the time makes them look naff. Change the car instead to a colour you like.
Cirrusblau looks great when its tidy. Any car thats getting a bit daggy looks crap in any colour, especially white. But get a mint Alpineweiss II car, and nothing looks better!

Selection of BMW hardtops available, please ask!

Gota be calypso red, stunning color, white is tooo much hard work, you'll wash it, then some twat in front off you will decide to wash his windows whilst driving and spots all over your polished bonnet, suppose that be with any color, just hate people who do it!!

I now think a fresh respray in Cirrusblau for my cabby will be good enough. Your right about colour changes not looking right, and will cost ALOT to get it looking right. So I am going to scrap the colour change idea.Z3I wrote:Cars with colour changes are never right to me. The original colour showing up in in odd places all the time makes them look naff. Anyway I always liked Sebring-Grey too.

Cirrus Blau. It's quite nice when clean, sort of a baby blue colour.NayC wrote:What colour do you have at the moment?
