Guys.. Biiiiiiigg Dillema.

Come summertime, im going to want to sell one of my cars...!!!

Do i sell the E46 or E30.. ??

E46 is well comfy but as always, can be a problem with all the 28 sensors under the bonnett

E30 is a old car, but one of the last ones made (K reg) and had a 3.5 conversion winkeye ...

Dunno what to do ??

you can just about see the E46 in the back ground...

I think if you vote E30 this is the one you sell ? :?

Have you posted this question to an E46 forum ?

I've just voted E46 to get rid winkeye
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

the e30 for me has always been a toy, i'd never have one a daily drive as reliability is higher on the priority list.

Hmmm.. Neil, your right dude, i really do have the E30 bug, but, although the car is road worthy etc, i wont stop there !!! im gonna wanna turbo the lump and then wheels, brakes hardtop etc etc...

Pro's of the E30 will be that parts are dead cheap and in my opinion reliabilityis far better than the E46...

Cons of the E30 will be that i wont stop spending money on it and will make a big loss if i decide to sell it in the future..

E46 Pro's. newer car, more comfortable, everything leccy, makes me lazy as its auto

Cons.. All sensors under bonnett, nothing to modify, prone to rust issues, expensive parts !! (£200 for a power steering pump)..

No i havent asked on the E46 forum, i suppose everyone will be biased as to its what they own/drive

And Ziggy.. Yes mate, ive got the two bimma's and wifeys got a Merc 230CLK cabby

????????????

i might just put them both up for sale and see which one sells first?

or sell them both and get a jeep ?

If i were in your shoes id sell the E46,if you sell the E30 you will regret it,
the E46 is losing value as we speak but the E30 will retain its value and if you look after it it the value will only go up,
its a no brainer if you ask me!
M30 too

Bit silly posting this up on an E30 fansite :chuckle:

I'd keep the E30, as you'll probably make more money for it and spend some of the profit on fixing/maintaining/upgrading the E30. One day you'll want to come back and when you do E30's may be much harder to get a good'un, or much more expensive.

Obviously your call as they're your cars, but I think E30s are the best 3 series made and i personally would like to keep a good one for as long as i can.

e46 prices are tumbling nicely along with everything else. E30 hit bottom a while back. If this is an economy measure you have to sell the E46 - unless you need one as a daily driver in which case.. the E30 is cheaper to fix :)

I agree that the E30 is the best shape/build ever made by BMW, so in that respect, no arguments...

Lets see what happens in Englands summer?? I might just make Ant rich again with a M30 turbo conversion for meeeeee...
