hi all. it's not often i ask for technical help but this time i'm really confused :?
i've just fitted cruise control to my iS racebus and it's all gone well up until the final job of plugging in the 2 pin plug to the connector block behind the glovebox. the space is there but there are no pins :(
the wire colours on the plug are red/green and purple/white.
i assume they are just brake circuit and power but does anyone know which does what or where else i can tap into?
has anyone come up with this before?
i've never had any problems on the ones i've fitted before i just assumed they were all the same.

typical isn't it when it was a quick 20 min job before i go home.
my car was originally a 1990 318i auto touring.

i've sussed it! :woohoo:
green/red is brake signal
purple/white is 12v ignition live.
sorted!
Typically my car is the only one i've found without the pins there but hopefully this will be of some use to someone somewhere :thumb:

Very strange the pins are missing! the purple/white should connect to purple/green in the car, which is the live feed to the brake light switch.
I.e. The two wires you need are the two that go to the brake light switch.

They are in the loom that goes across the glovebox. If you can find them, you can splice into them, but I think it would still be easier to run a couple of wires over to the brake switch.

It connects to a green/black that goes from the starter inhibitor switch on your gearbox selector to the starter inhibitor relay in the glovebox area.

Pin 1 is the correct one, but, IIRC, most of the pins are connected together.
