service Symptoms

ok guys what are the symtoms for a service?

il tell you what my cars does and if it is a service then let me know please

1...takes too much fuel even at small drives

2...when the car is warm the car rocks side to side, as if the engine is choking (i hope you understand what i mean) well put it this way after the car is warm it sounds like a subaru impreza with a quite exhaust

3...you can smell fuel through the heaters at times

i was about to change the easy bit such as plugs, leads filters and leave the oil filter and oil change to a mechanic, but i thought il ask before doing the a service

Sounds like its overfuelling or has a slight fuel leak to me.

Not really a sign that it needs a general service more rather a sign theres a fault hich needs addressing.

These symptoms are nothing to do with a 'service'. They are just symptoms of faults!
You haven't said what engine, but check the 'blue' water temperature sensor, and the condition of any rubber fuel hoses close to the engine.

sorry my fault...its a e30 325i engine

In that case, add the injection loom plug and socket under the inlet manifold to the list.
