Electric window fit

Does anyone know if a saloon that has keep fit windows front and rear has the wiring already fitted?
Would like to fit electric windows all round but not if its a major re wire!!

it should do but only way to know is if you pop the gear shift gaitor and have a rummage around for the switch plugs.........

Unlikely to have any of the loom (which is combined with the locking loom), but, as above, check under the gear lever gaitor.

nah mate.. as long as you get hold of a loom its plug and play, i did mine in a day with direction from brianmoooore, go for it it,s a worthwhile upgrade

Dealer fitted electric windows didn't use the factory loom. The switches were connected to the window motors by twin cables fed into the doors through the rubber wiring tubes, but threaded straight through the large hole provided for the purpose in the plug and socket.
The best way to fit electrics to a manual car is to find a scrapper and get the relay panel and loom from behind the glovebox, and the part of the loom around the switches and cut out, and to slice on twin cables like the dealer fit set up.

i removed the whole locking/window loom from a car i was breaking to put in a kit for a zoner, it has three wires from the white socket in the drivers door piller which connect it to the main loom which i thought could possibly be spliced into his existing loom. cant remember the guys name but i got the impression he was going to try and install the whole thing for that factory finish, hero you may say but i seem to remember him being some kind of aircraft engineer so i guess a couple of wires would be childs play for him.

The three wires mentioned above should be left complete with their pins, which will then plug into vacant positions on the driver's door hinge pillar socket. One of these is the infamous red/black wire, so this is best connected directly to the other red/black wire already.
The biggest problem with fitting the factory loom is that it fits under the carpets.
