.Paypal have a thing where when they send you a (legit) email it will ALWAYS refer to you by name. If it doesn't say DEAR ANDREW SMITH for example, chances are its a scam.

I accidently clicked a supposed e-mail link from Ebay to a dispute (I did have a dispute open) only to find it pointed to an item I new nothing about.
Next day I had a message from ebay saying my security had been breached and some one had requested a password change. Fortunately i use different passwords for everything so they couldn't log into my email to retrieve the new ebay password but i had to change all my passwords.
Never click on a link in an e-mail, just log in ebay/paypal as normal and then see if you've any messages and use different, non guessable passwords for ebay/paypal etc.

Open a dispute on your paypal account, and if the seller doesn't reply with proof of postage then you should get your money back.bloom_meister wrote:Is there any way to reclaim funds from paypal if youce been scammed? I'm £400 out of pocket on some wheels i bought (seller has disappeared)
