Does anyone have any good insurance companies, just got mine through directchoice, and they wont except my 3years no claims which I earned as a named driver on my partners policy, and now want another £167 on top of the £200 for ther TPFT. Need to get this sorted asap as I cant get my baby home from work today as my policy is now void. Any help would be ace guy's.

Well then you need to go back to the company you earned the NCB's from? As surely they would be the cheaper option?

give them a try
just quoted me 200 fully comp for a 325i sport, without any ncbs being used on the policy as its a classic policy
may not be ideal for you but always worth talking to them as they may tailor a policy to suit you
also has agreed value etc so no haggeling in the event of a claim

Lancaster classic policy. We pay less than 300 for the e30 and the same for the Mercedes 190E and that's without any NCB.

Ok then here goes, heritagequote came out on top, fully comp £250 with limited mileage of 5000 even with no no claims and an sp10 to my name. Guess where my monies are going
And jst for information lancaster insurance came in at £337 but they did have alot of extra benefits sch as road side recovery and home start thrown in and a slightly higher mileage allowance of 6000.so not to bad but every penny conts for me at the moment so Heritage here I come.
Many thanks again for the info guys.

I got the quote over the phone mate, but have a limited mileage on it of only 5000
I got a sharp intake of breath when I asked for 10000, he said that they dont expect classic cars to go over the 5grand mark, have they never heard of enthusiasts (
) oh well whos to know if it goes over just a little. many thanks again for the info guys a great help.

i doubt you will find any classic insurance with a 10k mile limit, i tihnk 5k is the most.
There is a simple way of getting over this though..................disconnect the speedo cable, ok you wont know how fast ur going but them ur mileage dont go up either. Just have to judge ur speed and watch out for speed cameras
