i have a 325i sport and have owned it for 2 months now and the bloody thing keeps spliting hoses! it has happenend 3 times now. where can i get a set of silicon ones like samco? cheers

you might have an airlock, have you changed the coolant lately?

funny u should say that i did have an air lock and i ran some rad flush through the system and it hasnt happenend again yet. cheers

Have you also used the bleed nipple/bolt on top of the thermostate housing when bleeding the system?

Also, over tightening the jubalie (typo) clips can cause a hose to plit.

yeah i did that too. the head went befor i got it and the fella didnt clean out the gunk from the system too well so no water was getting to the heater matrix which must have made the hoses split and cause it to over heat. its hard to get it all out coz it takes so much water!!

Completly agree with you there fella, in the past i've ended up stripping the complete engine down and flushing all parts to rid them of the tasty mayo deposits.

Does she over heat now or just blow pipes when running at normal temp?

iv left the rad flush in there and it dosent even go near the half way mark. i fink i need to flush it a good few more times.

once youve had oil in the cooling system it attacks the rubber hoses inside over time.you said the head went before you got it.i would replace them all if you can.
