£275 for a F reg 316i in black off of ebay. First and current E30.
Came with a 12 disc multi changer as well, but also 4 holes in the boot where the previous owner had his "2fast2furious" style spoiler, and a loud DTM exhaust, which he proudly claimed "didint even come off a car, it was off me mates trike."
Had a couple of little problems, it was cutting out occasionally, so the previous owner decided it was the AFM and replaced it with an E36 one, but it turned out to be the Fuel relay, so the relay was replaced, and the old AFM re fitted, and the car now drives loads better.
Slowly going to rebuild it to its former glory, remove any remaining tat ( home smoked side repeaters with nasty runs ) and be taking it to RTTS this year, in a hopefully finished state!

£400 for a red 4 door 320i. 6 months MOT. Billstein shocks, spax springs, k&n filter. Lovely deep dish rims (I still have them). Very rusty rear arches. I drove it for about 6 months and sold it for the same.

my 318i was £350.00 came with recaro leathers with red piping. i sold this with cloth interior for £700.00. a good car!
my 325i was a bargain at under £300 every MOT from new, scorpion exhaust, loads of receipts, had it delivered to friends house to hide it from mum.
best thing was it was my mums friends drive it lived on for 6 weeks.
original otherwise 15 inch BBS alloys needed welding which i spent £600.00 on i bought it as a non runner but after 5 minutes of removing steering column cover it worked as i just had to plug in the plug to the ignition barrel!
Some people have not got a clue with electrical components!!!! LOL

£800 for a pretty clean white 318 touring which had had a top end rebuild and everything worked. It went perfectly for a year without even tapping its tappets until I bought a 325 touring off ebay. Realised I'd made a bit of an error when I started driving it. Massive mechanical noise from the engine. It spent 2 weeks being fettled by our best local BMW independant before becoming a nice car.
Rear shocks/top mounts, front ARB links, viscous fan, rerouted the dodgy throttle cable which was picking up a lot of noise, and endless adjustments to the fuelling/idle until he got it working properly. Luckily he did it for nothing. A set of 15" BBS from dazleeds and now I'm just waiting on a rebuilt cylinder head to get it reliable again. Eek!
The good news is that they were both white so noone noticed I'd changed cars

£350 for a 318i auto, which was taken in p/x almost three years ago. Had an oil leak, water in the boot, and sanpped the window winder in half whilst closing the window.
Royal metallic blue with 15in bbs and beige interior, which I later swapped for sport leather also in beige/tan. Had some good times
Then a 325i convertible in alpine white with ox blood sport leather interior (red), 17in BK reps. Turned heads where ever I went! Bought a hardtop for it, then some w*nker decided it would be a good idea to cut out the windscreen and lift the roof away, left the car with the hood down in the pouring rain over night
Memories!! The straight six just howled

I paid £2,100 for mine in 2004 and knocked the guy down from 2,500, but that was with only 60,000 genuine miles or so on the clock and she was pretty mint. She's only done 88,000 or so now; the only damage on her was inflicted by scumbags in London (various little dents and dings from jumping on the bonnet and so on).
I'd never owned a BM before and didn't really do much homework before hand, so overpaid.......If I'd known about this site then, things may have been different.

A very nice car for the money. Did have quite a lot wrong with it though. It ended up the donor for the Sportster where I replaced a hell of a lot of parts with new one. Did have a laugh with it before taking it to bits
