How much power?

5 seriers diff won't fit (internals might)

Double check the diff mounting point to the chassis, not uncommon for these to rip off the chassis! - also make sure your sub frame mounts are new.

Can't see you'll gain much in strength between a 320 / 325 diff just different ratio's, unless the 320 is a small case??

Two sizes of diff cases are used on E30's.The small one(6 bolts to the rear cover)went in the 4 pot cars and most 230's.The medium case diff(8 bolts to the rear cover)was used in all 325's.Both came in a multitude of ratios and open/LSD.The medium case unit was also fitted in E28's,which opens up the ratio range still futher. An ex E28 diff will need it's output flanges swopping to fit the narrower E30,however.Use a Z3M diff mounting bush.
