Z3 quick shift - where do th o rings go please?

Hi can any one help I have been following the article posted strangly enough in the Articles section re - converting to Z3 quick shift. I have bought the items listed including the "Recondition bits" of which there are two o rings parts no 25.11.1.221.243 they are little rubber rings about a cm in dia but I'll be buggered if I can think where they go? Any helpful suggestions not involving my anatomy greatfully appreciated. Cheers

While we're on the topic now. The litttle washers on the bottom of the shift lever wouldn't fit on for me onto the selector rod with the clip in place properly
