as above, i am going to buy a service kit for the 325, need the best plugs money can buy! who makes them and whats the number of them?
will also be taking the oil cooler off of the engine and replaceing it with 320 bits( so no more oil cooler) will i need a 320 oil filter?

IIRC, original spec Bosch W8LCR are best. Is it wise to dispense with the oil cooler on a 325i? :?

apparently you dont need it, plus by removing it, you cant get any bloody stones put a hole in it.

I've just done 500 miles on my new ngk iridium plugs plus new exhaust so not sure which is responsible...but the car now rocks...throttle response is ace.

i also got a k+n air filter with the afm should i put that on or put the 320's air box on?(same box for b25+b20)

BPR6ES. There is no point putting fancy plugs in as the combustion chamber isn't designed for them, so a complete waste of money.

M20 is a fairly basic engine, Keep it simple.

Also Ive seen some of the damage those quad plugs can do when one of the electrodes breaks off :eek: :cry:

Is it ok to use BPR6ES in my 89 325i, the NGK website says for 84-86 325`s it`s BPR6E and for 86-91 you should use ZGR5A, this is what I have at the moment in the car, however I have a full box of 12 BPR6ES which i found here at work, they were left here by some dude from NGK about 10 years ago or something, they were due to go in the bin so I nabbed them.

Mine runs on BPR6ES plugs mate, 88 325 (facelift low comp engine)

Runs better on these than the ZGR plugs.

another vote for the BPR6ES, ZGR are "correct" but simply dont work as well.

if you really want gains from plugs, shim em so the electrode gap points @ the inlet valve.
