Just about to order the "head gasket set" off euro car parts for my 318is m42. Just wondering does anyone know if this includes the head gasket itself or do i have to buy this seperately?

Cheers

Victor Reinz gaskets are good, Elring gaskets from http://www.gsfcarparts.com are better.

B11413 CYLINDER HEAD GASKET SET E30 318iS 89>92 M42 £69.00

It does include the head gasket. Don't forget to buy new headbolts too, they're single use stretch bolts and should never be re-used.

Genuine BMW gaskets are made by Elring btw.

I recently bought an M42 head gasket from GSF. Once I'd removed it from the packet I saw the gasket itself was Reinz! I think you'd actually end up with one of either of these even if yuou got it direct from BMW dealership - BMW don't make gaskets themselves.
