Right, fitted some of the above (eccentric) a while back (I know i should have gone for OEM,too late now). I realise they move the back of the wheels out and also the whole wheel forward (though I don't see why) but I've noticed that the tyres rub on the front plastic inner arch cover (the bit the brake cooling ducts attatch to) usually only when reversing with a fair bit of lock, driving normally isn't a problem. Getting the lollypops on in the first place was a nightmare as the bushes never seemed to really push home far enough on the arms. So my questions are; is this a design fault, why do they need to push the wheels forward, have i got a duff set.
fyi 15" bbs, 205/55 tyres, standard springs etc.
Powerflex TCA bushes, pushing wheels too far forward?

Mine(fitted last Friday evening)rub on the o/s,just inboard of the air duct.As a mounting screw for the sh*tguard has dropped out I was blaming that...But what an improvement the eccentric bushes are!!Steering feel is improved,as is stability under braking and turn in is much better, too.

There is only one way to mount them that makes any sense. The cutouts in the arm part of the bush dictate where they go, it's just that with them pushed on as far as they go, the back part of the control arm doesn't quite seem through enough. Whereas the original bushes fitted so that the end of the TCA was a fair way through the lollypop, now it's barely all the way through.
Maybe i can tighten up the sh*tguards a bit so they dont rub. I'm thinking of putting some 40mm springs on the front anyway which should help as the front struts angle back slightly so any lowering should move the wheels backwards also. I'm not denying that the car handles better but then my bushes were shot anyway.

I think it is possible to get them the wrong way round ! Don't forget they are labeled incorrectly, the one labeled "left" needs to be fitted to the right hand side when viewed from the drivers seat ! and vice versa
They should only push the wheel forwards approx 10mm.

Exactly the same thing here, rubbing on the o/s H&R arb.mac325i wrote:Eccentric wishbone bushes add caster, making wheelbase slightly longer.
Ive not had any issues with rubbing on the plastic sh*tguards, mine rub on H&R arb
It's impossible to get them the wrong way round, they're a tight fit when fitted correctly. If you had fitted them the wrong way round you'd never get the lollipop anywhere near the mounting holes.

I thought that perhaps they were made for the Irish market with those position marks on them....
