I know theres a few on here interested in the outcome so here goes!

Yesterday the 316 went for its final tuning after being run in for the last few months!

The results are: 123bhp (engine), 104bhp (wheels) and 136lbft (engine)

Pip at WGT has said that the engine feels good and pulls strong but just falls off at higher revs. Ive gotta check the cam timing as he thinks this is the problem. Once this is sorted he thinks it'll do another 20 or so BHP and improved torque.

It sounds really awesome when its gets into the cam and goes really well

Thats pretty good  Even better when you think the old engine in my 325 Touring was only putting out 130 at the wheels 8O and yours is 104 :D

Be different now mind with it's new one

A good result, more so if you can squeeze another 20 out of it,nice one

i dont know what a stock 316 produces but id guess its much less than your 123bhp so its a result.
why did you tune this engine ?whats your reasoning behind that?

I had it rolling roaded afew years ago at a zone meet and got 82bhp at the engine. That was with a replacement webber carb and a big bore 2 back box.

I 've tuned this engine as its just something different in an E30. Theres loads of tuning bits out there aswell for them.

Chris - It sounds even better now I can get the revs up abit!

Did he think the cam timing was retarded ?

Are you getting a vernier pulley for it, where from/how much ?

he didn't say which way he thought, I just needed to check. Ive already got an adjustable sprocket on there. Just need to take it off and turn it then bolt it back on. I got it from ireland engineering cant remember how much.

www.jaymic.co.uk they do loads of stuff for the m10's. There were also alot of old 2002 stock parts that can be used to upgrade, Like 2002 2.0L internals, Twin dcoe/dhla inlet manifolds, 2002 turbo manifold.

Rosc0PColtrane - Thats stage 2 mate which is in the pipelines!
