I went home to fix my 320i that was idling poorly to discover it wouldnt start
It always started ok but idled badly when hot
now its flooding its self badly really quickly (in a couple of turns the plug's are soaked)
the spark is good and strong
Could it be the fuel pressure reg as its been running rich for a while
Any idea' please 8O

try checking the rubber hoses from icv and the big one from AFM to throttle housing for cracks or holes

yes, it could be the fuel pressure regulator. it happened to me once. it flooded the engine continuously. checked everything, and turned out to be the fpr, it didn't gave enough pressure. try measuring the fuel pressure.

Lol stole that picture from Bruce Zed one - who really does have a serious problem with flooding...

Gotto clean the loom somehow though Neil sure Brianmoooor would approve of cleaning all those connections!

HELP!!!!HELP!!!!!!! I thought i had it sorted last week but sure enought i didnt it was running ok so i decided to treat it to new dizzy cap rotor arm and leads all oem but when i started it again it ticked over fine
but when it reved over about 3000 rpm it started missing and then cut out so i thought that sounds like i put the lead's on in the wrong order but checked them all and there right i took out the plugs' completly flooded again the same as before i checked the spark and its great' comp is perfect' lots of fuel ' so the only other thing is timing i belive this is done throught the ecu and crank sensor on the front pulley what happens when the crank sensor goes' does the spark stop or does it try and guess?
If anyone can help it would be great i was hoping to use the car for my wedding in a few days please help :( :( :(
