NOT as far as just North of Aberdeenjcjdavis1 wrote:Hi Sounds good but its a bit far from Paisley/Glasgow.
I could be up for it
IF it doesn't clash with other things I've got lined up for the next few months
I could be interested dependant on meet location...
Where are you planning? How about Taunton / Bristol ish area... By the M4 and M5 then, so not too nasty for people travelling to it.
Cheers

Know what you mean Re Can't please everyone.gortour wrote:Can't please EVERYONE...![]()
Where did you have in mind?
Might be better holding off on the location till we know who's going to come and where there coming from.
Then decide on a reasonably central meeting point
I'm guessing some where in Englandshire
You guys HAVE to come up to the far north of Scotland. The roads are very quiet, very windey and very police free !!! C'mon, you know it makes sensegortour wrote:Good move.
Maybe two meets, one for the Northern Englandshire and Scotland, and one for the Southern Englandshire...

I realise that there's probably a higher percentage of Tourer owners are based South of the border and have already concluded that a "Southern"(to me anyway) meet would be inevitable
If enough people are coming
Could possibly have the meet somewhere central
For example York Raceway
Just a thought

Who's paying the petrol? Gonna cost a couple of tanks each way just to GET there.
Admittedly I'd love to come and have a look at Scotland. I've heard a lot about the beauty up there, but not actually been. Maybe a weekend away for me and the missus sometime.
(as long as I take the wife about a bit and have a look around. A weekend consisting entirely of cars, and I'll be divorced...)

Not to mention Very Narrow with passing placesgeorgen wrote:

Hell Yeah
Nice one .
Thinking the A82 through Glencoe, up to Fort William then up the West Coast then accross the top to John o Groats, down through Dingwall to Inverness then Either the A9 south to Perth or the A96 towards Aberdeen
Like you way of thinking
Gordon, you'd love it. Seriously. We have proper drivers roads up here ( no duel carriageway for about 100 miles ) and the scenery is unbelievable. Just the kind of environment that the E30 was built for. Yes, the fuel bill would be quite high, but you have a 1.8 so it would'nt be nearly as bad as a proper E30gortour wrote:Who's paying the petrol? Might be better to wait a bit till you see exactly how many are coming 1st
Then find a mutually acceptable venue to hold the meet
It's not really too narrow TBH. The alternative backroad from Inverness to Bettyhill is single track but not too narrow. Bettyhill to Thurso is the finest road that I know of anywhere in the world. Winding and predictable with LSD preferred !!! Thurso - John O' Groats -Inverness is immense fun and very quiet. Lots of places to stay up here and the crack is superb. I'm well open to suggestions for meet locations though...BadDave wrote:Not to mention Very Narrow with passing placesgeorgen wrote:

Definately MUCH better than my chipped 325
100 miles = £18
