between a lsd and a wealded diff im presuming they both behave in the
same way when you turn the outputs i.e turn in the same direction..so
how would you know you got a proper lsd if it had no marking's or
numbers on it
how to tell the diffrence

im not really sure about this one, but i have heard it from someone. the difference is when you actually turn that's when it behaves differently with a proper lsd. a proper one it would unlock the other tire relative to which way you are heading. as for the welded ones, both wheels spin whether it's a straight or a turn, hence, more prone to spin outs.

Ordinary open diff (and welded one as well) you can easily see the small gears for the diff. On a LSD they are mostly enclosed inside a tube.
