Ive been trying to get insurance for my 325, with exhaust, alloys, leather interior, uprated brakes... and its coming up quite expensive compared to what a few people have said on here, ive tried adrian flux, they said they cant insure me.. tried heritage(£400), firebond(425) and thats about it..

Any help with other companies etc or what others have been quoted and what mods they have declared etc..

Ive tried doing a search but nothing that really helps me comes up!

i have run a lotus, a tvr and now my e30's with them and they always come in competitively with decent cover.

make sure you don't compromise price over cover though..

:?

I really cant see why HIC won't insure you! Classic policies need you to be 25+, and HIC sell classic policies!

what i meant was make sure the excess is not sky high as the bigger the voluntary excess the lower the premium cost but make sure it has the usual couple of hundred quid allowance for stereo and decent legal cover..

actually, i think i used either confused.com or elephant.co.uk - they are brokers/search engines for loads of companies and i had 4 or 5 quotes that were about the same and went for lancaster because of the little add ons you get.

if ou don't declare a turbo or other engine mods (if you have them) you could be in for a roasting later.

Well yes its ANY mod but OP originally asked in relation to turbo and engine mods. Hes allready declared wheels and suspension.

My insurance is placed with Adrian Flux with all mods declared, comes to around £400.

Some might be getting cheaper quotes if its a second car ie not their main car. Mine is my only car.

Adrian Flux should be able to get you a quote for just about anything. Perhaps there is more to this than meets the eye, location could be a problem, points?, accidents? etc etc

They dont need to ask, your MOT will list the mileage and thats available to them electronically

You can normally raise the mileage on the policy but they tend to ask quite a lot for it.

What mileage is your car?
