Boot spoiler on my 325i SE - paint is cracking/crazing (see pic below). The material feels like hard rubber. Can these be resprayed easily and with a quality job done? If not then are they still available to buy and what type of spoiler is it?

Thanks for all advice.

Regards

C

I need to repaint one. Does anybody know if you need a different primer/paint for these rubber spoilers?

when i painted my old sierra bumper back in the day, we used something called plastic primer which apparently allowed the paint to flex a bit with the bumper, not sure if it worked in the long run as it was a sierra and decided to die at 80k :(

Yeh, I thought that, but these spoilers flex a lot more than those bumpers. Mind you I bet the metel on the ole shiterra flexes more than them bumpers now. :x

They are easy enough to respray, mine was in the same condition as that, i took it off, flatted the whole thing down, sprayed it with plastic primer and then sprayed it the required colour.

I did it earlier in the year and i use my boot a lot (human bodys, guns, bitches etc), and its still as good as new!
