I have a problem with my interior lights, they won't go off!

On one of them the little switch is broke so can't change it;s position, but this prolem is new so it's not moved onto constant.

And the other one stays on all the time when in it's normal position! I''ve tried taking both switches out and cleaning them but that's not worked. Was about to take the lenses out themselves but i'm not sure how they come out?? :o:

Any ideas?

Disconnect the battery for a few seconds, and see if they stay on when you reconnect the battery.
Keep the doors shut though.

What would that tell me? I pull the fuse out every night and when I put it back in they stay on.

Have you taken the switches out of the door pillar and checked both them and their connections?

Yeh, taken them both out at the same time and the lights were still on! what does that mean? I thought that would surely break the circut making them go off?

Just a thought, but have you checked the bonnet switch?

There's a switch the same as the door ones just over the lights on the left (from the drivers seat) of my car.

It turns the inside lights on when the bonnet opens!

Pull the lights out and trace the bad earth. The door pins only earth to the body so if its not them the problems further back.
There is NO nucleus.

Ok this might seem like a silly question but, what's the EASY way of getting the lights out? I started trying to pull and slide etc but I started stretching my lovely black roof lining, so I stopped...

They unclip by sliding a screwdriver behind the metal hook.
Do your lights turn off if you turn the ignition on?

Ha Ha! fixed it!

Because the little black switch had broke off the drivers side light, it was just set to be on constantly. Took the light out and just disconnected the earth to one side, so now it comes on and off with the doors every time.

Short term fix but it makes me happy... :)
