I picked up a steel braided brake line kit for my 91 318is and tried to get it fitted. It was a 4 line kit, fronts went fine, not so good on the back.

There are 4 lines for the back, only 2 in my kit. However, trying to get the correct kit out of my supplier has been impossible - they cant tell me the correct one. Apparently one kit has both female ends on the lines, the other male and female, or something like that.

Does anyone know the part or model number for the Goodridge 6 line kit for a non-ABS 318is ?

PS I'm reasonably sure I dont have ABS, but cant be sure - I assume there would be some kind of status light for it on the dash (which I dont have). And I aint confident enough yet to try to get it to skid ;-)

can you not work it out from realoem...type your chassis number into it and then look at the brakelines?

i got the goodridge hoses last year and their applicatin chart was rubbish for me too.

basically i worked out from my etk that if you have rear discs then you'll need the 6-line kit.

http://www.goodridge.net/uk/pdf/automot ... app_uk.pdf

there are only 2 kits 4 line and 6 line.

good luck with getting the hoses off. buy a proper hose spanner

Yes, Goodridge have got their listings wrong for the e30 - it is nothing to do with if you have ABS or not. Its about if you have rear discs or not.

All people with discs need the 6 line kit. Send them back an complain. Realom will back you up as well.

But then it gives a different part number for cars without ABS - stuff like 318is with no ABS but rear discs Goodridge will supply you with the WRONG parts.

Thats what must have happenned when i ordered mine.

Got sent a kit(from Rally Design) with 2 hoses that were the wrong fitment.

2 fronts were there along with 4 to go fron the body to the rear beam and none to the rear calipers.

Quick phone call to Goodridge (to check with there technical dept)and then to Rally design and it was sorted :D

Sent the wrong ones back on the saturday morning and the new ones were here on the tuesday. :D

Turned out that Goodridge had put the wrong hoses in the pack
