Very, very sorry to hear that mate. Couldn't think of anything worse! Hope you get her back ok, maybe get some form of deterrent or alarm system when she returns! Got a steering lock for mine, just to keep those thieving C**ts away. Best of luck anyway, would say i'd keep an eye out, but being down south near Reading, probably not gonna be much help.

You recon it goes as far as SE uk? Just want to know if i need to be taking extra precautions! How exactly does car snooker start? Someone just decide to be a thieving bast and it continues after that ?
If it was me, I'd rather have the car back whole than money from the insurers...
Unless of course it was a real turd - but then it would probably be me MAKING it disappear... into parts for the replacement when the insurance pay up...
Good luck with finding it... shame plod isn't more interested in real crime rather than screwing money out of motorists for doing 1mpg over the speed limit...

Just found out that my insurance is not gonna pay out because i forgot to declare a claim i had in 2004
So now i have no Car and no money
and also the alloy wheels count as a modification and invalidate my insurance.

Oh great... thieving c*nts are worse than the car thieves... They steal legally...
And the bastards wonder why so many people drive without insurance...
Gutted to hear this mate. Hopefully the Zoners will help with a cheap replacement for you...
And let us know which insurance company and we'll all cancel our policies with them and go elsewhere...

Tell them you did declare it and they failed to get back to you. Waiting three years for them to mention it is not your fault.
There is NO nucleus.
was this claim with another insurer or the same one?

I asked this and was told that it would require extra staff and therefore push up your premiums
So it's all down to you
And a handy little get out clause for Dick Turpin insurance Co
If in doubt phone your insurance company and check your details
As i would hate for this to happen to anyone else

it's harsh but if they know that you're insurance will be void when you claim, it's a 100% profit for them. there's no benefit in them looking

Contact trading standards. If they get interested, they'll turn the company up-side-down looking for things that are not right. Even if it's not related.
To sell insurance, they have to be FSA accredietd and follow strict guidelines. That includes fully explaining a 'Statement of Facts' to customers, IIRC. You're not the expert, they are. However if you acidentally forgot on purpose...
Phone back, if you don't like what you hear, ask to speak with a manager. Again if you don't like what you hear, speak to the managers manager. Go to the press. Phone Watchdog. Phone the ombudsman. Make some noise mate.

Agreed Nathan.
Worst that happens is you still end up with nothing, best they don't rip any other poor b'stard off...
Isn't there some "uninsured benevolent fund"? Sure I've heard of one, usual payouts I believe are things like being hit by uninsured drivers etc. May be worth looking into that too, again, worst case they say no.
