Sprayed with halfords spray paint. started with matt, then ran out, so used some satin.. which then ran out and had half a cab of gloss, and managed to spray the whole roof and sunroof lining with a bit to spare.
Its not hard to remove, just fiddly. You need to drop the door seals, remove the sunroof panel, undo all the screws and the 2 which you'll always forget at the back of the aperture, the 2 at the front under the wind deflector strip, disconnect or thread the lights thru their openings and drop the rear of the lining down. TRhese clips can be a real bitch! So use a screwdriver or something long/slim. The rear window rubbers also hold the lining at the top of the windows. Then once it's all hanging, there's a few clips that will release when you pull it backwards.
Careful as the lining does get fragile when it's hanging down with all the weight.
To spray it, I just got up close and personal with the spray can (About 5cm from the lining) and just let loose.
I tried spraying like you would a body panel, but you have to go up/down/left/right as it leaves tracks. My way you do get tracks, but it blends in alot better than it would.
I'm pleased with it, it's held up so far, though there's not much to go wrong. Now would be a good time to try and fix any sagging bits of lining. i didn't, but I guess I will if it gets worse.
