Are the chips designed for normal 95RON petrol? Or do you have to use 97/98/99RON Super?

Considering as it doesn't have knock sensors it makes no difference whether you put 95/97/99 in. It will work fine on 95 ron fuel.

So that means I could get even more benefit from a chip specifically designed for use with higher octane fuel?

No, it means, that unless your car is fitted with a MAF control system that van be mapped for a given octane rating, you'll recieve no benefit from spending more of your hard earned on "super" unleaded

Thats what the big Black box behind the air filter is for. Measures the airflow, and sends signal to ECU, that coupled with throttle position tells ecu fuel required.

As said before- speak to ANT about this- he can go into much more detail, if you have any specific questions related to fuelling, or engine management :D
