numberplate makers

hi all,

i was wondering if anyone on the zone makes numberplates? i have designs for some that i want made up, but have tried a number of companies that have bodged them up and had to issue a refund as i was not happy with the quality...

i am looking for the ones with the acrylic front as seen on E30s originally, not the modern ones which just have a thin film over the front.

i have tried a few of the internet sites, but some are picky about supplying plates which are not standard and others just want you to use their numberplate maker which is too limited....

if there's anyone on here or a good contact, i would be grateful.

I'm sure someone on here makes number plates to look like they came from the stealer...

I wanted the Howarth of Rochdale plates making for mine... Someone will post a link up I hope

My friend has full numberplate making equiptment, I'm sure he can be of some help if you want me to ask?

Although looking over the topic again, I'm not sure he can do acrylic ones being requested in the OP. They're printed off onto laminate film then applied onto the plate like most are these days, although he can pretty much customise the plate as requested anywhere.

For example my plate has a plain border around it with "I love justin bieber" underneath where the dealer info usually goes.

Probs not what you want but I'll see if he can manage acrylic ones.

hi green, that would be great if you could. i ahev designs for many dealer plates including coopers, sytners etc and if i can find someone to make them up, i would be happy to design any ones that zoners request...not sure about beiber though (unless it is in pink!)

We got bored of thinking of something tasteful and funny to put on it, after over half hour of writing and deleting phrases I told him we'll keep the next one he did... what a bastard.

I know a mate of mine who makes signum plates use proper acrylic plates unsure if he can do any design due to the software... I'll have a chat with him

I had some made up by www.dealerplates.co.uk and was happy with them. They look so much better with the correct font size.

Was less than £30 for a pair.
