an E plate with a Tech II kit ??
As ever, I could be wrong. Would rather a zoner didn't get their fingers burnt on this one.

All numbers are supplied to call BMW though... Maybe the kit was just fitted by a previous owner at a later date?
Looks tidy but I wouldnt bother with it as it has gears that you have to change whilst actually driving!
What a odd idea...

I've seen a Tech II Sport on an F plate but never an E plate. Everyday is a schoolday.Steve-E30 wrote:My early tech 2 sport was on a e-plate

doesn't look to bad.
They don't make bm's like this anymore!..They should.

E-plate e30s are weird - the 88MY cars have loads of little detail differences to the pre/post facelift cars, not least the 'bulseye' headlights that a lot of them have. Interestingly, this car has the non-projector lights though, which suggests to me it was a pre-88MY car. Could have had the kit fitted by Sytner though, or just later on in its life.

I think it may be a Sytner lash up C2.5 as opposed to a Buchloe built C2 2.5.

no cab got a tech 2 kit until late 1989/early 1990, when the 2nd phase motorsport cabs came out, they were in sebring grey and macau blue
it may be a c2 but the kits not original from 1988.

I checked online and this car is registered as being blue.....

I wouldn't necessarily read anything into that, we had an old Honda that the previous aged owner had had from new that was purple on the v5 - it's just what the tart who does the first registration puts on the form. You'd need to check it out if you were buying though.Topblag wrote:I checked online and this car is registered as being blue.....

I'd suggest it'd be appropriate to infer a change of colour in it's life. It's very unusual in my experience that cars have an error in terms on the V5 for colour.

My bad, I assumed the car was silver and couldn't get past an E plate cab with a Tech II kit.Low_E30 wrote:The add even states, that its Cirrus Blue..... Whats your point?Topblag wrote:I checked online and this car is registered as being blue.....

Folk always think Cirrus is grey, lost count of the amount of times I've heard that. To be fair if it is cirrus then his camera is shite.
How this guy thinks a mix of gunmetal grey and Dolphin makes it blue is beyond me though.

It certainly wouldn't have had the kit from the factory, but if it's a C2.5 as the plaque says, as opposed to a C2 2.5, then it's just a Sytners cosmetic exercise and God knows what they might have put on it.

The CH number plate is classic sytner sign. Deffo tech 2 was added later. It'll have the Alpina Sport pack I would think. Cam / exhaust / ecu giving 192 brake.
Looking cheap at the month as well.

Interestingly I've got a delphin grey car that is registered on DVLA as being blue. Had most of the interior out and it's definitely not ever been resprayed, unless it was completely stripped and re-primered again first...

This car has been for sale for a long time. The current owner paid about 3k for it and has been trying to get about 6k for it! It has been the subject of quite a few threads on here, and yes, I think it's a pup!

i always thought that if it was a pre-facelift, it shouldn't have a Tech2 kit from the factory. simples

the M'tech Lash-up is always a put off on a pre-face cab, it would look much better in standard form
