Im at a crossroads what to do with my Touring.
Im ready to move onto an E46 now so one way or another this will have to go.
Problem is the MOT is due next week and although its not a basket case it does need some welding which is putting me off doing it.
So im debating wether to MOT it and sell it needing a few bits of bodywork/interior tidying or sell it in bits.
Ive promised my Mrs and kids a holiday abroad next year and this will be paying for it so need to get maximum return for it.
I reckon its worth just over 2k with the bit of welding done and new MOT/TAX but I also think I could see 2k for it in parts and that would save me spending 200 quid minimum for theMOT/TAX!
So who is contemplating doing an M52B28 swap soon?
Interested in buying mine?
PM me and lets talk :D

Paul if it was to sell by photo alone id say it would get 3.5k all day long.In reality it needs a fair amount of work to get the body back upto scratch and the interior isnt the best to be fair.
Not a dog no,but by no means mint either!

Got to be worth £2500 as it is with no mot I would think surely!? If it only needs a little welding! Where has it gone?

The welding is nothing really and I can get it done from a couple of guys.
Its the front corner part of the N/S boot box(where the jack sits) thats gone.
Piss easy to do really but im thinking of the money!

£2500 easy once its MOT'd and patched IMO, surely you would rather do a bit of welding than spend days and days fcking about spannering and turning your drive into a scrap yard? I know I would!

Fruity bodywork FTW!
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Replied.

Ive had loads of interest in PM`s and have a good offer waiting on the mechanicals but as Dan pointed out I cant be arsed with it scattered all over my driveway for weeks.

Im tempted to just write out an ad for the full car priced fairly with or without the new MOT.

my take is that you can be arsed to put and engine in that e36 and this in the first place. Then surely sorting an MOT shouldn't be a problem. To me it spells out the car is a possible hound?! bodywork wise.

MOT in the post FTW :o

Definitely worth at least 2.5K. Youd spend nearly that alone in doing an M52 swap peoperly on an E30.
M42 rightness above 6500rpm, nobody can hear you scream

I Agree with that. Some of the locals know how deep i am into mine, and i can tell you its more than double 2.5k. It'll be a good buy for somebody.

in what way explain?

is not the M54 meant to be a better design than the M52 which is was based on as otherwise BMW would not have used it.
